Pediatric Nurses

Pediatric Nursing careers can be a rewarding and satisfying career choice, especially if you like working with people and love children. To attain this job, you will need a college degree and on-the-job training. You will need either a two year degree or four year degree, specifically a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an Associate of Science in Nursing. Once your degree is obtained, you will be required to have some hands on training caring for children. This can be specialized training or an internship with a local clinic or hospital. You can go on to get certified and become a Certified Pediatric Nurse, which requires taking a national exam with the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. A certification may not be required in all states, merely recommended. You should check with your own state to see the requirements. However, a Certified Pediatric Nurse will make more than one without the same credentials.
