  Keiser University's Associate of Arts degree in Accounting focuses on entry-level accounting skills needed in today's business environment. The program provides a basic understanding of essential business skills and addresses unique skills needed by an accounting clerk. • Criminal Justice, AA

  Keiser University offers an Associate of Arts degree with a major in Criminal Justice – online. If you are interested in a career in law enforcement, Homeland Security, forensic science or related fields that help your community and nation, this degree program provides instruction in current criminal justice issues such as law enforcement operations, the courts and correctional institutions. In addition to learning about theory and practice, students will gain exposure to the latest applied technology and interact with practitioners in criminal justice. This program will also prepare graduates for transfer to four-year degree programs, the foundation to enter the field of criminal justice, and opportunities for advancement for those currently in the field.

• Health Services Administration, AA

  Keiser University's Associate of Arts degree in Health Services Administration provides instruction in basic health services administration skills. Students use laptop computers to learn computer skills and software applications necessary in a healthcare business environment. The program prepares students in both business and health service administration, providing courses on business law, management and marketing principles, medical anatomy, physiology and terminology and front office management. • Homeland Security, AA

  The Associate of Arts Degree with a major in Homeland Security provides a comprehensive review of the Department of Homeland Security, it's agencies, laws, authorities and actions. This program prepares students for entry-level positions in law enforcement, security, protective services, and other such careers in local, state, or federal jurisdictional arenas. Courses in hazardous materials identification and handling are presented, as are courses on domestic and international terrorism. Acts of terrorism and the response and recovery actions of Homeland Security agencies are detailed, including the laws and other legislative actions taken to give authority to the multiple agencies involved. • Information Technology, AS

  Keiser University's Associate of Science Degree in Information Technology prepares students for entry into the field of network administration with an emphasis in security support. Information technology specialists administer, maintain and support computer systems and networks. This program exposes students to leading technologies in the dynamic IT industry. Courses prepare students to sit for industry-accepted competency examinations.

  Program objectives include the development of students' abilities to administer and troubleshoot hardware, software and services for single, mixed and multi-user environments; development of skills in security measures to protect data; knowledge, theory and practice of network management; and development of critical thinking and effective communications skills. Students will be prepared for positions as a technical support specialist, help-desk technician, systems administrator or computer security professional. • Medical Assisting, AS

  Keiser University's Associate of Science online degree in Medical Assisting prepares students to perform medical assisting duties under direction of a physician/practitioner, including preparing examination rooms, taking vital signs, assisting in minor surgical procedures, giving injections, performing venipuncture, assisting in laboratory operations, taking x-rays and administering electrocardiograms. Medical assistants also learn to function in an administrative capacity, including patient communications, maintaining patient records, billing, scheduling appointments, ordering supplies and processing insurance claims.

• Paralegal Studies, AA

  Keiser University's Associate of Arts online degree in Paralegal Studies prepares students to support attorneys in transactional and litigation fields through legal research, document drafting, case management, evidence gathering and the litigation procedure. Paralegals are often involved in trial assistance and other dispute resolution processes, as well as with preparation of real estate documents, wills, trusts, contracts, corporate matters and law office investigations.

Bachelor Degrees:

• Accounting, BA

  This online program focuses on accounting skills needed in today's business environment. The program provides a basic understanding of business and addresses the unique skills needed by an accountant through the use of case studies, projects, and personal computers incorporating various software packages. Topics include accounting in the areas of finance, management, auditing and taxes.

  Graduates of the BA in Accounting program may elect to pursue a fifth year of study to earn a BA degree in Professional Accounting, which provides much of the academic background necessary to pursue certification in public accounting (CPA).

  Keiser University's Bachelor of Arts degree in Homeland Security focuses on essential management-level skills needed in the field of Homeland Security.   Keiser University’s Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology Management is a degree completion program for those who have already earned an associate degree in a computer-related field. The curriculum is designed to prepare computer technicians with a minimum of 6 months full time experience for a role as an I.T. professional, supervisor, or manager. Graduates will be prepared to assume these roles immediately upon graduation or continue on to a master’s degree program in either business or technology field of study. • Interdisciplinary Studies, BS

  Keiser University’s Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies provides a comprehensive curriculum that allows broad exposure to multiple disciplines. This major provides a practical alternative for baccalaureate degree-seeking students whose needs cannot be met by individual majors. Students can design a course of study that meets their personal academic objectives and furthers their professional growth and development by combining two or more disciplines into a coherent program. The degree will combine general education courses with an interdisciplinary concentration, electives and a capstone course.   Become an essential and vital part of a legal team with a BA degree in Legal Studies from Keiser University. Interested in pursuing a law degree? Our bachelor's program prepares students with major courses such as legal research, criminal law, contracts, wills and trusts, torts, and family law. Legal Studies graduates may work with private or corporate law firms, banks, government agencies, title companies or law enforcement.

• Management Information Systems (MIS), BS

  Keiser University's Management Information Systems (MIS) program provides students with business and technology skills to be able to manage data systems and meet business challenges using information technology tools. Tools include computer hardware, operating systems, networking, programming, and database management systems. Application of the tools includes distributed information systems, system analysis, system design, and decision support systems. Management includes technology management and system implementation. Students will prepare to sit for professional certifications, and graduates may pursue both technical and managerial careers in organizations that incorporate leading edge technologies. • Nursing, RN to BSN

  This program emphasizes critical thinking, leadership, management, research, advanced assessment, and health promotion across a variety of community-based health care settings. Designed for graduates of associate degree and diploma nursing programs, who are currently licensed as an RN in the U.S., the RN will be prepared for a broader scope of practice and for entry into master’s or doctoral nursing programs. The curriculum provides the RN with a better understanding of the cultural, political, economic, and social issues that affect patients and influence health care delivery. Special emphasis will be given to the allocation and management of physical, fiscal, and human resources. Opportunities for the RN to specialize will be provided in the form of various nursing, business, and criminal justice electives.

  All coursework is offered online, one course per month. Clinical practicums will be performed in community settings where students will be paired with an approved professional nursing preceptor.

• Public Safety, BS

  The Bachelor of Science degree in Public Safety is offered 100% online. It offers a combination of public administration and management courses that focus on public policy issues from budget development to grant writing and property management, administrative law, social policy and event response. The program provides a comprehensive curriculum that allows students with existing associate degrees in approved related fields to complete their baccalaureate degree and pursue career advancement. Graduates are prepared to meet the demand for well-educated administrators in fire departments, emergency medical service agencies, police and sheriff's departments and other governmental bureaus nationally.
